Privacy

The short version: we do not know who you are, and we like it that way.

What exists on our side

If you save something or change a setting, your browser gets one random id in a cookie. Against that id we store exactly what you gave us: your watchlist items, your chosen stores, muted categories, row density, a home grocery store if you picked one, and a push subscription if you turned alerts on. None of it contains your name, email, phone, address, or anything else about you, because we never ask.

There are no accounts and no passwords. The sync code on the You page is that same random id, shown to you so you can carry your setup to another device yourself.

What never happens

No advertising, no third-party trackers, no analytics scripts, no fingerprinting, no selling or sharing of data with anyone. Visits are counted on our own server with no cookie and no stored addresses: the count includes the day itself in a one-way hash, so even we cannot link one day's visitor to the next day's.

Deal links go to the sites that found the deals. What those sites do is theirs; our links add no tracking of our own.

Alerts, if you turn them on

Push alerts store the delivery address your browser mints for us, tied to the same anonymous id. Alert content is composed from deal data, sent at most once every few hours during waking hours, and turning alerts off deletes the delivery address.

Price checks, if you use them

Asking what something costs at your grocery store sends that one product name to the store's public price service and shows you the answer. We keep neither the question nor the answer.

Deleting everything

The You page has a Forget me button. It deletes every row we hold for your browser's id and clears the cookie, immediately and permanently. There is no backup copy of you to linger anywhere, because there was never a you on file, only a random number.
